Dr Juli Larson is a graduate of North Park University in Chicago and The University of Illinois Medical School. After receiving her medical degree, Dr Larson completed an internship at St Francis Hospital in Evanston IL, where she received ” The Most Outstanding Intern of the Year Award”. She completed her residency at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, where she served as chief resident. Dr Larson is certified by the American Academy of Ophthalmology and is the former president of the Vermont Ophthalmologic Association. She hails from Minnesota but feels quite at home in Vermont having raised her 3 sons here and having practiced medicine here since 1993.
Dr Larson’s expertise includes cataract surgery, where she offers several specialty intraocular lenses to decrease patients’ dependency on glasses. She also performs micro-stent placement for treatment of glaucoma. She is the region’s leader in corneal refractive surgery (LASIK & PRK) which she has been performing since 2000. While cataracts and LASIK are unrelated, Dr Larson is delighted many of her prior LASIK patients return to her for surgery if they develop cataracts later in life.
Dr Larson is the founder and an owner of The Eye Surgery Center, serves as its Medical Director, and practices ophthalmology in South Burlington.
